How We Train

Recognizing that every dog and owner is unique, we avoid a one-size-fits-all approach to dog training. Just as people possess diverse preferences and personalities, so do our canine companions. Moreover, each family unit holds distinct expectations for their dogs, adding to the complexity. Our primary objective is to design practical training exercises and effective management strategies tailored to both you and your dog's individual needs. I strive to cultivating a positive environment for handlers, recognizing that optimal learning thrives in an atmosphere where the people feel comfortable! In turn this also supports setting the dog up for success!

Throughout our training process, we adhere to the Hierarchy of Behavior Modification, a framework deeply rooted in research and understanding. In our methodology, equal importance is placed on environmental management and providing ample mental and physical stimulation for dogs. These factors complement our training approach, ensuring a holistic and comprehensive training experience for your beloved canine companion.

Our Training Spaces

We’re fortunate to have a variety of community connections that allow us to train in diverse spaces! Our primary training location is at What the Pup Pet Spa in Grande Prairie—a spacious, well-lit, and fully matted area that’s perfect for training. We also hold group classes at Evergreen Park and Dcoy Armouries. In the summer, we’re thrilled to train on a beautiful, five-acre, fully-fenced property featuring a treated dugout where dogs and humans can swim, enjoy paddleboarding classes, and participate in fun pond parties! Our Out and About classes are held in various locations to help dogs practice their manners in real-world settings.
